What we collect when you contact us, why we hold it, who sees it, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
Tunbridge Wells Removals operates this website and is the data controller for the personal information described here. Reach us at hello@removals-tunbridgewells.co.uk.
What we collect
Through the quote form: your name, phone number, email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses you give us, your moving date if you supply one, and anything you write in the notes. By email or phone: whatever you choose to tell us.
We also collect ordinary analytics data about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. That is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
Why we hold it
- To prepare a quote and arrange a survey
- To plan and carry out a move you have booked
- To answer a question you have asked
- To keep the records a business is legally required to keep
The lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform that contract, and — for analytics and site security — our legitimate interest in running the site properly.
Who sees it
The office staff who quote and plan moves, and the crew carrying out your move. Form submissions pass through our website host and our lead-handling system. For moves outside the UK, the information customs clearance requires is shared with the agents and authorities handling that clearance — unavoidable on an international move, and limited to what the clearance needs.
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
Spam protection
The quote form uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated submissions. Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to that check.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept while they might still be useful to you, then deleted. Completed moves are kept for as long as our legal, tax and insurance obligations require, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how it is being used. Email hello@removals-tunbridgewells.co.uk and we will respond. If our response does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
Analytics cookies tell us how pages are used, and reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies when the quote form is used. You can block cookies in your browser — the site will still work, though the form's spam protection may not.
Changes
If this policy changes we update this page. The version you are reading is the one that applies.
